Hello,
Welcome to blog #851 of themusicaddict. No children were harmed in the writing of this blog :)
My middle son bought me a MLB calender that has birthdays of current and former MLB players. So occasionally I will wish someone a happy birthday. Today's birthday wish goes to Kenny Lofton, the former Indians speedster. Happy 44th, I'll be joining you soon at that age. I hope you don't feel as old as I do.
Last week, May 28th, was Kirk Gibson's birthday. Being a life long Dodgers fan that name brings up all sorts of happy memories. He hit the amazing home run against the A's and Dennis Eckersley that propelled the Dodgers to their last World Series title. What a contrast to what the Dodgers have become. Now the Dodgers owner can barely cover payroll and probably won't be able to do it all season. Oh how far the Dodgers have fallen. Thankfully MLB already has come in and started saving them.
Let's start off with sports first. Jim Tressel was forced out yesterday as head football coach at Ohio State University. Obviously his program is rife with corruption and a change needed to be made. However one can't help but to think that maybe some of the rules do more harm than good. A college player is suppose to dedicate himself to his team and school and then has little money and little time for himself. There are so many things blocking an athlete from making money. A hard look should be taken at rules guiding athletes. There's got to be a better way.
Tonight starts the NBA Finals, I'm officially cheering for Miami. Strangely enough that is also the team I predict to win. I'm so tired of all this praise that Dirk Nowitski is receiving. People are trying to decide where does his postseason rank in all-time individual postseason performances. He's been rightly called a choker for his career. Now he has one good postseason and all of a sudden people are talking about him becoming one of the Top Ten players of all-time? A trivia question: In between the 2006 NBA Finals and this season's postseason how many playoff series did the Mavericks win? Here's the answer: 1. Shouldn't he change his name to Dirk Nowinski? Can we wait until Dirk wins a NBA title, which won't be this year, before we start over praising him? Also can someone please break Jason Terry's arms the next time he does that stupid jet gesture? Jason it's time to stop getting your ideas from junior high playgrounds.
I also will be glad when the Heat and Dwayne Wade win the NBA Title this year. I'm especially glad that he won't have to share this title with Shaq. Could you imagine how dominant Shaq would have been if he would have ever cared about winning? Shaq, it's time for you to retire and fade away from the public eye. Kobe has a lot of haters, but no one can argue how much he wants to win.
Going from a former Magic center to the current Magic center, Dwight Howard. He's got to be one of the whiniest NBA players currently. When isn't Dwight Howard whining? Thanks to espn.go.com this is his latest whine: "I want to start my own path and I want people to follow my path and not just follow somebody else's path. I want to have my own path, and I want to start that here in Orlando. But I can't do it alone. Not only do I need the right teammates, but I need the city behind me. That's the only way it's going to get done. We can change this small city that we have -- this small market that we have -- and we can make it a big market."
Dwight haven't you already started your own path? Although only the second highest player on the team, aren't you suppose to be the team leader? Let me remind you that whining about wanting things to change isn't leadership. If you haven't already started your own "path" in Orlando, whose fault is that? No one is asking you to do it alone. Your front office pulled off a couple of major trades last season to try and get you more help. Sure they brought in Gilbert Arenas, but their heart was in the right place.
Yes you need the right teammates, but you also need to be the right teammate to them. You already have teammates and whining about them, how is that helping their morale? How are you showing leadership? Why don't you use this off season, which could be extended, to go out and recruit some players to help your team? All these things you are whining about can will be improved with your leadership. How to get Orlando behind you, it's simple Dwight. Man up and shut up. You might want to see how things are working in Miami where there seems to be plenty of leadership.
Finally how are you going to make Orlando a "big market". I know you NBAers like to sleep with anything that moves, but even your talents here won't be enough to grow Orlando significantly.
I had my kids Sunday night so I wasn't able to see "The Killing" until last night. Am I the only one who was more than a little disappointed to learn that the Adela was a boat? Also wasn't it just a little convenient that Linden happened to go jogging where the Adela was docked? There have been a few convenient things that have happened that drove me crazy.
Bennet Ahmed no longer is a suspect, he's the hospital battling for his life. Some people are now saying that Darren Richmond is Rosie's murderer. Do you think so? I don't and honestly would be disappointed if he was the killer. It's just not very satisfying. Although it would explain why Richmond was so adamant that Bennet wasn't the killer. Of course if Richmond was the killer, wouldn't he be wanting Ahmed to take the rap for him?
I think the only thing Richmond is guilty of is bad judgment, including who he surrounds himself with in his campaign staff. I suggest that Rosie Larsen was also guilty of bad judgment, but hers led to her death. So if Bennet or Richmond isn't the killer who is? I know it remains a long shot, but I still think the Dad is the killer. We have seen his proclivity for violence and we have seen how easily he is manipulated by his wife. Also a few episodes ago he took a deep whiff of his daughter's dress, which was more than a little creepy. He has been wanting to move on from her death relatively quickly.
Stan Larsen is an enigma. He was the one who beat Bennet, but he was also the one that called 911. He then turned himself in and in open court admitted he beat Bennet. I think he essentially is a good man, but he has some serious flaws.
Linden's ex fiance showed up and Linden finally admitted that she was no longer interested in that relationship. Of course viewers have known that for several episodes. But what is going on with her, why did they suddenly move out of the boat? I know that 15 year olds don't think they need anyone to watch out for them, but I would disagree. So who's watching Jack now? Both Jack and his Mom, Sarah, need to confront their issues that they have or it will make for a hard life. They both still have issues with Sarah's ex-husband leaving them and that has been 10 years!
Only 3 more episodes left for this season of "The Killing", I predict many more plot twists and turns. I just hope they are more logical and satisfying than some of the previous plot twists have been. What was Rosie up to at the Indian casino and who was she meeting? Why do I get the feeling that she's not as wholesome as she has been portrayed.
Quick reviews: If you've seen any of the first three "Pirates of The Caribbean", you've seen the one that was just released into movie theatres. A bunch of double crosses, sometimes you lose track of who is on who's side. No one knows what Jack Sparrow's agenda is, sometimes I don't think he even does.
"Kung Fu Panda 2": A movie that you can take or leave. A fairly generic movie, you've seen the basic story in other and better movies. The fact that one has to pay extra to see this movie in 3D is a final slap.
Foo Fighters "Wasting Light", initially I was a big fan of this CD. However this CD does not pass the car test. What's the car test? It's when I put a CD in my car and I listen to it, I really listen to it. For some reason I focus a lot more on music playing when I'm driving than when I'm writing this blog or just relaxing. I got tired of "Wasting Light" pretty quickly. Even the song I initially really liked, "Back and Forth" has become lame. I went through a Foo Fighters phase, I now see them as a slightly more classy version of Nickelback.
Lady Gaga's "Born This Way", I'm referring to the 17 song extended CD. This CD does better on the car test than the Foo Fighters CD, but ultimately doesn't pass either. This CD has some amazing songs on it, but in the end not enough. Gaga should have deleted 3 or 4 songs and this would have been a much better CD. However the highlights are very high. I love the song "Born This Way", her catchiest hook since "Bad Romance". I also love "You and I". Although the lyrics are a bit vague in who she's singing it too, I think it will still be played at many weddings. I also like "Judas" and "Scheibe" and have a feeling "Edge of Glory" will grow on me. Again the pushing of the boundaries with the lyrics becomes tiring. Maybe instead of focusing on pushing boundaries, maybe Gaga you can focus on writing good lyrics.
Finally "Friday Night Lights", this is a show I've never seen previous to this past weekend. But thanks to Comcast On Demand I've become hooked. I watched 6 episodes over the weekend and enjoyed them very much. It has excellent stories and amazing actors and characters. "The Killing" can take a clue from this show on how to have several interesting plot lines at one time. Not only that but this show has a collection of some amazing looking women. It's a virtual eye candy store.
This is in no particular order, first up is Madison Burge. This picture doesn't do justice to her. She's one of those pretty women you have to watch on TV to truly appreciate.
Um, if girls were this hot when I was in high school, I would have never wanted to leave. I'm glad Jurnee Smollet had something too fall back on when "The Defenders" ended. Although "FNL" is also ending all too soon.
Next we have the hot Mom, Connie Britton. She's 44 and looking amazing. How is her football coach husband able to focus on football with her around? I can barely concentrate when she's on screen and I'm nowhere near her.
TA's of the world you have hope, too bad all college students aren't as gorgeous as the delectable Aimee Teegarden.
And on that note, have a great day. Also go Heat!

Thank you Veterans!, "Footloose"
Hello,
Today is Veteran's Day and I would just like to thank all the veterans who served in any branch of the military. I also would like to thank your families for raising you and then allowing you to defend this great country. Thanks for all your sacrifices for your country. Literally America, if there still was an America, wouldn't be as great as it is without your many brave sacrifices.
Last night I watched "Footloose" with my two middle kids. This was one of my favorite movies growing up. After seeing it for the first time in several years, two things struck me about it. First of all, there's the amazing music. Second of all, the movie is full of so much infectious joy. There's so much joy in this movie, definitely an 80's classic.
My kids didn't enjoy this movie as much as me, but for me the movie isn't just a movie. It reminds me of what I was doing at the time. I remember the girl I took to see this movie with, that was one of my first ever dates. So when I watched this movie it's not just a movie, it's a time capsule. A brief journey back to a time I will never be able to permanently recapture.
Here are the two most amazing songs from that movie:
I'd never seen Denise Williams video for "Let's Hear It For The Boy" before, so here's my world premiere:
For those of you who say Bonnie Tyler is only a one hit wonder ("Total Eclipse of the Heart"), I give you another one of the great songs from "Footloose":
Kevin Bacon, Lori Singer and John Lithgow were on the Today show back in 2008. Here's the video including a special guest star:
A couple of take aways after seeing the movie. Whatever happened to Lori Singer? It seemed like she made this movie and then completely disappeared. In the above clip she was still looking pretty good. The same thing happened to Kelly McGillis following "Top Gun". Also Christopher Penn was so great in this movie. He actually was in many things following "Footloose". Unfortunately back in 2006 he died of heart disease at the age of 40. R.I.P. Chris.

Do We Really Need 3D?
Hello,
A recent ew.com article was about more people choosing to see the regular version of the 4th "Pirates of the Caribbean" than the 3D version. Why is that a surprise? I've seen several 3D movies in my life and not once have I heard someone saying "the 3D was amazing" or the 3D really made that movie a lot better." Usually when I'm leaving a 3D movie my only reaction is I can't wait to take off the dorky 3D glasses. Other than a greedy money making trick for movie studios to make more money, does it serve any purpose? I would say "no".
I saw two movies in 3D recently, the first was "Hoodwinked Too". First of all that's a horrible movie and there's really no reason for it to be made in the first place. Then if they really had to make it, there was no point making it into 3D. The fact that I had to pay $2 more dollars per ticket to see that piece of crap was egregious. That's out right theft. My son and I were the only ones in the theatre.
Then just this past weekend I saw "Kung Fu Panda 2" in the theatre with two of my kids. That was a better story and a better movie. However the 3D features were minimal, not that impressive and were completely superfluous. The extra money paid for a few extra bells and whistles wasn't worth it.
I know what you are thinking, $2 isn't that much more. That's true but multiply that by hundreds of movies I see by myself and with my kids and it quickly becomes a lot of money. Which of course is why the greedy movie theatres have it in the first place. Of course, the worst example of greedy movie studios having 3D is the recent "Clash of The Titans". Apparently the film was made and then later the 3D was added. It was terrible 3D, obviously just a pathetic money grab. Not only that but even "Titans" previews didn't make the movie look good. Obviously if the previews aren't good, then the movie sucks. I have no desire to ever see the movie. Since I haven't seen it yet, I can't give a true evaluation of it. Although the movie has been thrashed by critics and fans nationwide.
The main thing that I hate about 3D include the awkward fitting glasses. I also hate the minimal extra expense. Also I hate how the 3D movies aren't clearly marked in movie listings. Along with the movie's rating, whether it's in 3D should be specifically marked. If I have a choice between seeing a 3D movie and just a regular movie I will always pick the regular movie. 3D is one of those things that's nice every once-in-awhile as long as there's no extra cost. However it's not something that is important to the fan experience. I'd love to just go to a movie and not have to worry about it being 3D.
It's time for 3D to go away.

May 25th "AI" Finale Review
Hello,
I was hoping that Lauren could end up winning this season's "AI" but wasn't surprised that Scotty McDreary did. And as I, and many other people, predicted the announcement of the winner was anti-climactic. There were some good performances, bad performances and Jacob Lusk please get the hell off my TV performances.
Last night's victory was bittersweet for Scotty. He won, and probably in a landslide, but then he had to sing that crappy song. His "first single", "I Love You This Big". I expect that song to rack up a lot of quick sales. But if that song came along later in his career I think he would have had few sales. He's just the new thing, so the song will sell. Let's be perfectly honest, that's a terrible song. Like most recent winners I think that he will fade soon.
I also love how "American Idol" admitted that the Jimmy Iovine experiment was a complete disaster as he wasn't seen once during the show. Does that mean we won't have to see him ever again? I hope so because he was terrible. The alleged superstar producers were also terrible. I have an example of their less than quality work.
Here's some of the producers work, listen to how much this song is ruined. This is Pia's fault this is the producer's fault for ruining the classic Whitney Houston track.
How the song should sound:
Please bring back the mentors, they are considerably better than Jimmy, et al.
127 minutes of "American Idol", here we go. Thanks to my DVR, it only took me 88 minutes to watch it. Thanks to whoever invented the DVR.
Of course the show started off with Ryan and needless filler. Ryan it's time to retire the over used "This is....American Idol". We already know that Ryan. Ryan asks "Who are you here for?" I thought to myself Pia, Haley and the special guests.
For the first performance, the Top 13 took the stage singing Lady Gaga's "Born This Way". We had to see the hellacious appearance of Jacob Lusk again. Why does he grab his crotch so much? How he found it yet? How the hell did this sucky singer even make the Top 13? He belongs in "Idol" hell with William Hung and Sanjaya. However it was so good to see the gorgeous Pia Toscano again. I reviewed the songs she sang today at iTunes. I now understand why she was voted off. She sang the songs well, but she chose some boring songs and/or were handed songs with terrible arrangements. For Pia, Haley or any of the others to be successful it comes down to getting with the right producers and songwriters.
We had to deal with James "D bag" Durbin singing with Judas Priest. Judas Priest was good, but Durbin was terrible again. They sang the Priest classics "Living After Midnight"/ "Breaking The Law". Why was Durbin acting like he was the rock star, Durbin you are just the over praised d bag. A lot of people love Durbin, but I just don't get it. We had to hear the second rate Adam Lambert's screech again. Grades Judas Priest: A, Durbin: D
Next was shown Repeat Randy at his worst. Low lights of his constantly repeating himself. Is he the dumbest person in show business? How can we make sure Jackson isn't back next season? Grade: F.
What the hell is this we have to see Jacob Lusk again? He sings with Kirk Franklin and Gladys Knight on "I Smile". I loved how the choir came to save Lusk again. Lusk is a freak, can we please not see him ever again? "AI" is suppose to tell people without singing ability that they can't sing. "Idol" failed in regards to Lusk. Grades: Overall: C- as that is kind of a boring song. Gladys Knight: C, Kirk Franklin: C and Lusk: F
Finally after a boring start we had one of the show's few highlights, Casey Abrams and Jack Black singing "Fat Bottomed Girls". For you youngsters that's a song by Queen and their amazing front man Freddie Mercury. R.I.P. Freddie. Casey and Jack tore into that song and both acted like they enjoyed singing it. That was the best performance in the show to this point. Casey and Jack wore matching suits, causing some people to hope for those two in a "Blues Brothers" movie. Grade: B+
Then it's the ladies of "American Idol", hey wait a minute where is Jacob Lusk? I recognized "Single Ladies", but it took me a few minutes for me to realize they were singing a Beyonce medley. The ladies were wearing very short dresses and the producers had them sit down? They had to be very careful doing that. Were the producers hoping for a wardrobe malfunction to have a water cooler moment? Beyonce took the stage singing "Crazy In Love". Although I'm not a big Beyonce fan, I thought that was pretty good. The ladies performed pretty well, albeit I could only name a few of them now. Grade: B+
Time for Steven Tyler's highlights. It was funny that Tyler said one of his famous, profane phrases while was Scotty trying out. We found out through the season how much of a wholesome person McDreary is. Although while I'm not a big McDreary fan, I do appreciate that he has maintained his values. That's probably not easy to do in such a soul sucking environment. Steven Tyler in small doses and awake can be pretty funny. That's a lot more than you can say for Randy. Grade: B.
I know that Tony Bennett is a legend, I get it. However dude it's time to retire. I kept on looking for someone standing behind him holding him up. How old is he, I found out later he is 84. Haley was great on that song, but isn't that an awkward match? Both Durbin and Lusk got to sing with their heroes, why wasn't Haley able to? I think a Haley and Xtina duet would have been great. They could have cut out the Beyawnce performance. Overall that was a momentum killer. Grades: Overall: D+, which is a generous grade. Haley: A I always love to hear her sing. Tony: D+
Next up was JLo's Season 10 highlights, she's a hit with the guys. We already knew that, I'm glad that we didn't have to hear her horrendous laugh in her highlights.
Next up it was one of the low lights of the night. The combination of Lil Jon, TLC and the Top 13 ladies was awful. Although the Top 13 ladies were mostly an after thought. It started off horribly with Lil Jon's alleged rapping. Then TLC, who were wearing some butt ugly clothes, seemed to be straining vocally. Their take on their own "No Scrubs" was just awful. Thankfully for us they closed with their great song "Waterfalls". That song saved the whole performance. Grades: Lil Jon: F, The Ladies Top 13: negligible, TLC: C, Overall: C-
The next song was a complete mismatch. If this had been a brain power event it would have been Alex Trebec vs. Carlos Boozer in a contest of intelligence. Tim McGraw and Scotty sang a McGraw classic. Actually Scotty is better than my analogy suggests. They sang Tim McGraw's own "Live Like You Were Dying", which is a tremendous song. McDreary is nowhere in the same league as McGraw, it wasn't even close. McDreary you are going to have to be a lot better to become the big star that many people are predicting for you. Grades Song: A, Tim McGraw: A and McDreary: C McDreary needs to do something to break out of the sameness of nearly every one of his performances.
Next up a montage of some terrible Idol contestants and family members. That was followed by Mark Anthony taking the stage. I'm not certain, is he part of the bad contestants segment? My first thought seeing the scrawny, not attractive Anthony is how did he get J Lo? He's a good singer, but that song he sang sucked. If that song sucked any more, he should just call it vacuum. I had to skip through that performance to survive it. J Lo came to save it. She's an amazingly beautiful woman. Grades: Anthony: F, J Lo: A
The shocking eliminations skit was next, with James and Casey arguing that they were the most shocking elimination. Which of course neither one was, both should have been sent home sooner. Then Pia comes wearing a sash that says "Most Shocking". Seriously is she not so gorgeous and she has a tremendous voice. We will still be talking about her when McDreary has become a trivia question. Grades: Durbin and Abrams: D-, Pia just for being Pia: A++
Then it was time for a Tom Jones medley. Tom Jones? Seriously? The only solo I enjoyed on that medley was Stefano, he does "Kiss" very well. I won't even mention Paul, James, Casey or Jacob's solos. Just how did those James and Jacob get so much screen time? I'm not overwhelmed by either Paul or Casey, but at least both of them seem like good guys. On "Green, Green Grass of Home", Scotty's solo was terrible. That song was popularized and impeccably sung by Johnny Cash, again Scotty was over matched. Do people really think he's going to be a big star? I haven't seen anything that suggests he will be.
Tom Jones then took the stage, he sounded very good on "It's Not Unusual", although the song did drag on a bit long. Grades: Jones: B+, Lusk and Durbin: D-, McDreary: D, The rest of the male Idols: C.
Then it was one of "Idols" shameless commercials disguised as part of the show. "Idol" don't you kiss Ford's ass enough?
Next up was Lady Gaga. For once I thought she was going to go a performance with most of her clothes on. Gaga your body ain't that great and most of us don't have any desire to see you naked. (Penelope Cruz in the new "Pirates", now that's another story.) Gaga, please wear clothes. I get that your schicht is to push the boundaries. But that has become so boring. Why don't you put the focus on your abundant music talent, not on your less than amazing body. PLEASE!!!! Lady Gaga showing your nearly naked body all the time isn't female empowerment. Believe it or not you are being exploited.
Now on to her performance for "The Edge of Glory". First of all why is she wearing Jack Sparrow's hat? I liked how she started off the performance wearing clothes, what a concept. I knew she had to go skanky soon though. The song and performance started out fairly well but then it went downhill fast. It reached it's nadir when the male dancer joined her. Then Lady Gaga had to continue to push boundaries. The whole simulated sex and suicide thing, how lame was that? However it's nothing that we haven't seen Lady Gaga do many times before.
We then saw Simon Cowell briefly promoting the "X Factor" for this Fall. I loved that we saw Cowell more than music lightweight Jimmy Iovine.
Next up was Lauren Alaina, is it just my imagination or did she get less air time than the Dbag brothers Lusk and Durbin? Maybe that was due to her strained vocal cord, I'll give TPTB the benefit of the doubt. Anyway Lauren and Carrie Underwood sounded good on Carrie's "Before He Cheats". Carrie Underwood is easily the most gorgeous Idol ever. Grade: B
Did we need to see Beyonce again, apparently not. Because it was her alter ego Beyawnce singing "One + One". She asked if she could sing to us. After hearing the first part of that song, my answer was "no". She called it "my favorite song". Really Beyawnce? It seems no one else is telling you this but that song sucks. Horrible song, horrible performance. The only thing that could have made it worse is if James or Jacob had joined her to sing it. Grade: D-
Although I've heard nothing but bad things about the "Spider-Man" play, I actually enjoyed the song from it. Reeve Carney, Bono and The Edge all performed "Rise Above". I wasn't real impressed with what I've heard from Reeve Carney before, but last night he sounded pretty good. Then as always you can expect solid performances from Bono and The Edge. Grade: B-
Steve Tyler then sang "Dream On" for what must be now several thousand times. Was he purposefully singing the lyrics so they couldn't be understood?
Then to not too many people's surprise McDreary was named the alleged "winner" of Season 10 of "American Idol". Lee DeWyze and Kris Allen welcome him to anonymity lane. So many people have come from "American Idol" with such a big boost. It's very surprising how truly few stars they've produced. By my count they've only produced three stars: Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Daughtry. The show gave Jennifer Hudson a shot in the public eye, but I think her hard work is what made her a star. It's mostly given us very mediocre singers for the most part, including many of the so-called "winners"
Then to make sure McDreary has no career, he was forced to sing that craptastic song "I Love You This Big". It currently is sweeping pre-schools nation wide.

May 24th "AI" Performance Review, Heat microwave the Bulls, Under appreciated song of the day
Hello,
Last night was the final performance episode of "AI" for a dreary season 10. David Archuleta was in the crowd, reliving the peak of his life. No surprise that he has completely fallen away from the public eye. He was one of those contestants that made it as far as he did on judges hype.
Of the two I say that Lauren was the winner of the night. I hate the contestants choosing their favorite song of the season. I know it's only the second time we've heard them sing the song, but it's already a bit stale. How about that song be a song they've written. Let's see what kind of an artist they can really be. Scotty's "Gone" lost a lot of charm the second time through. Lauren's "Flat On The Floor" was also not as good as the first time.
My favorite part of the first performances was we didn't have to hear from the judges. That was awesome. We already know what they are going to say, which is whatever Nigel wants them to say. Have any of the judges had an original thought this season? Seriously it was so nice without the judges, why do we need them again? Do we really need someone to tell us how we feel? For this show to regain it's former glory of several years ago, it needs to minimize the judges and Nigel's constant meddling.
Next was the Idols own Idols song selection. I loved how George Strait chose his own song for Scotty. A bit insecure are we George? Scotty's take on "Check Yes or No" was average, but again it's just a similar sounding song over and over again. I gave him a C for his average performance. Carrie Underwood did a big favor for Lauren by picking Pam Tillis' "Maybe It Was Memphis". That's a great song and right in Lauren's wheelhouse. I gave her a B grade on that, but truly neither one was kicking butt up to this point. If they could have only have given Lauren two or three years of maturity and life experience how much better would she be? How much better would "AI". To capture "AI's" former glory from several years ago, raise the minimum age to at least 18. 21 would be better, but we are dealing with "AI" here.
Then we had to hear from the judges and no surprises at all. Randy said he felt like he was a "Scotty concert" for who knows how many times this season. He gave the slight edge to Scotty in the first round and a slight edge to Lauren in the second round. Randy the Republican, you are such a politician. I guess that's how he survives by not having an opinion. Again with the judges so irrelevant, why are they there in the first place?
Ryan then interjects "as they stare each other down on stage". Which is the exact opposite of what was happening. They seem to be good friends. True human emotion that Nigel doesn't need to manipulate.
Jennifer then said whatever Nigel had her say and calling it a "tight race". Ryan then interjects "you cannot change the station now". That made me think of how the judges have been on a script all season of how good all these contestants are. I know what Ryan meant, but to me I heard "why would the judges change what they have been saying all season?"
Then it was Mr. Makeup's turn. Does he even pay attention? He seems more interested in creating his own reality show rather than participating in the one he's on. He awarded both rounds to Lauren because she's "prettier". That was a very skeevy moment, with the geriatric and horndog Tyler showing us what he thinks about. Mr Tyler please stay far away from my daughter.
Then Repeat Randy said "their both in it to win it". It seems he realizes people are mocking him for his limited vocabulary and how he's just going with that. Either that or he's an idiot. Hmm.
Next up Taio Cruz sang "Positive", which was positively non-threatening. It's an okay song but I would tire of it quickly. I loved how Ryan said their was only a "limited amount of downloads" for that song. Don't worry Ryan that song has as much of a chance of being a hit as Jacob Lusk has of being manly.
37 minutes into the show is the first we see of Jimmy Iovine and that was too soon. Will we even see him on the finale? Probably. Will we see him next season? Please no. "American Idol" please go back to the mentors. Again to return to it's former glory, they need to go back to the much more entertaining and useful mentors.
Up to this point of the show I thought that Scotty had the Season 10 title in the bag. But then Jimmy saddled him with that horrendous "I Love You This Big". Really that's the best this big shot executive could do for Scotty? What an atrocious song. If I was the type to listen to country radio, that song would make me avoid it for the next few weeks. I'm not a big Scotty fan, but why was he given such a horrendous song to sing?
The judges then repeated their season long script. Ryan interjects again with more fake drama "as the pressure amounts tonight".
Jimmy was a lot nicer to Lauren, he choose for her "Like My Mother Does". A song that sounds like it could be a big hit. That's such a better song than the steaming pile of crap Scotty was stuck with. I loved how Lauren's Mom was waving her arms, did she think she was at a revival. Obviously Nigel's fingerprints were all over having Lauren going and singing to her Mom. Nigel is as bad as a producer as Randy is a judge. Nigel: Lauren and Scotty are real people you don't need to falsely create "moments".
Then the judges said something. I mostly forgot as I'm learning how to tune them out.
With the sympathy vote Lauren likely got for her vocal cords issue and that very good "Like My Mother Does" song was that enough to swing the vote to Lauren. I thought that Scotty would win this sham contest easily. Now I'm not so sure.
Then on a previously taped performance David Cook closed the show with his "Don't You Forget About Me". His cover of one of the many classic 80's songs.
Tonight we have Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals vs. the finale of "American Idol" at about the same time. Sorry Oklahoma City I'm going to have to watch "American Idol". No matter how bad the season, the finale always has several highlights that are worth tuning in for. I look forward to Lady Gaga with Clarence Clemons, Bono and The Edge, Pia Toscano and Haley Reinhart lighting up the stage again. Of course we will have to hear from all the crappy contestants from this season again. I'll have my DVR record it and skip all the hype, commercials and stupidity and watch the show in a hour.
I'll be cheering for you in spirit Oklahoma City. I still think you can win this series, although tonight's game will be very tough. Why is Dirk Nowitski all of a sudden getting all this praise? He has had one good postseason and some people are calling him one of the Top Ten players in NBA history? Please. Let's not forget Dallas's colossal meltdown to the Golden State Warriors when Dallas was the #1 seed. Nowitski was the main player of that team as well. Dallas deserves very much their choking reputation.
After watching "AI" last night, I turned over to watch Miami-Chicago. I told myself I was only going to watch the game to 9:00pm MST. However I found myself getting into the game. I ended up watching the game to the end. Even more surprising I found myself cheering for the Heat. I was one of the many that mocked LeBron's so called "Decision" and all the other crap that went on with that.
That being said this is a fun team to watch. And I hope it's okay, I have a man crush on Dwayne Wade. I know offensively he struggled last night, but defensively he was the man. I loved how he had those 3 late blocks. Not only did he block shots, he posterized those players with the blocks. I loved that left handed layup he scored over at least two Bulls defenders near the end of the game. I love watching him and LeBron play together.
I look forward to tomorrow night's game, we will see what kind of killer instinct Miami has. Just like we will see the same thing tonight with Dallas. I would say that Oklahoma City has more of a chance to win than Miami. I think Chicago is toast. I feel sorry for Derrick Rose. I know that team has some other pretty good players, but he's the only true great player on they have. I mean it has to be scary for Chicago that the second most valuable player last night was Ronnie Brewer. Ronnie Brewer?
The Boozer signing was a costly mistake. I loved how one of the TNT guys called his defense "statuesque". Read: Boozer doesn't play defense. The TNT guys were also saying that Miami should attack Boozer in clutch time. Shouldn't you be getting more for $13 million dollars? Chicago in the off season you need to surround Rose with more viable players. A big with an offensive game and plays defense. Too bad you have that horrid Boozer contract eating up so much cap space.
One final thing: why is the NBA having Dr. J interviewed by a basketball about one of the most iconic plays of all-time? Doesn't he deserve more respect than that? Dr. J is one of the classiest people in NBA history. Get rid of that commercial.
Don't worry I'm going to be stop from blogging about my divorce for the most part. However for the under appreciated songs of the day, two Pearl Jam classics about dissolving relationships:

Tonight is the "American Idol" final performance episode, Welcome U2 to Salt Lake City.
Hello,
Welcome Larry Mullen Jr., Adam Clayton, Bono and The Edge to Utah. I hope you enjoy your time here.
Tonight is the final performance episode of "American Idol". Let me guess, Scotty McDreary is going to sing some country songs! Also Lauren will probably sing at least one or two country songs as well. I expect this to be one of the more boring episodes of this season. The singers will sing same sounding songs and the judges will fall all over themselves with their praise. It will be a big lovefest that will have all the entertainment value of a saltine cracker. Lauren has had some highlights here and there, but McDreary does virtually the exact same performance each week.
I expect to see the role of Jimmy Iovine to continue to be minimized. I highly doubt he will be on the show next season. I expect Barnacle to remain, but I don't think JLo and Steven Tyler will be back. This was just a way to restart their flailing careers. Also I'd love to see Nigel Lythgoe go as well, his hands are over this show. He's terrible at his job.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow's finale, there are always some nice surprises during it. Hopefully we will be able to see Pia Toscano again. She remains my favorite contestant of this season, Haley is probably #2. Among rumored performers: Lady Gaga and Clarence Clemons on one of her songs. Bono and The Edge will appear with the cast of the "Spider-Man" play. They are doing anything they can to boost ticket sales. Most reviews have been brutal to the musical. This is my favorite quote about the "Spider-Man" musical: "Nothing cures the curiosity about Spider-Man quite like seeing it".
I actually think that the announcement of the "AI" "winner" is going to be anti-climactic. There will be CD's rushed out for both Lauren and Scotty. They might have a half-decent sales the first week, but then they will fade away. That is unless one of them has a big hit. What are the long term prospects for McDreary's CD to do well? It's going to be 10 or 11 very similar sounding songs. What's this at least the fourth straight male winner and the last three being very boring. Lauren has the talent to be a big star, but does she have the personality to be a big star? She needs to break out of her shell.
This show needs to end as soon as possible. The same formula 10 years in a row has become incredibly boring. Why do I still watch this show I hear you wondering? It's because I like to follow the improvement of the singers. But most everything that surrounds that weighs down the rest of the show. Thankfully Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, David Cook, Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson, Pia Toscano plus many others will be around long after this show finally ends. All the fake stars that this show created will end with the show. The David Archulettas, Scotty McDrearys etc won't have the biggest television show to boost their music anymore. We can all be thankful for that.
Meanwhile Pia Toscano has probably been working on music, meeting with producers and crafting her CD. I predict she actually will do better because she has had more time to work on her CD. The fact that she's an amazing talent and absolutely gorgeous doesn't hurt either. I see her taking the Daughtry road to success, although I don't think she'll be as big as him. Whatever happens, please don't let Iovine have anything to do with her career.
Last but not least, this last week's episode of "The Killing" was sizzling. I love how the story moved along slowly, but there were plenty of surprises. However the two big weaknesses of the show remain. The Richmond campaign is dead in the water. The Richmond character is wishy-washy and his campaign struggles for focus. I admire his ethics, but it makes for a boring story line. Really does anyone care if he wins this election? The lack of excitement in this story line drags down the rest of the show. I thought this would be wrapped up quickly, but it lingers on.
Also maybe Rosie is lucky in dying, getting away from the Larson family. Mitch, the Mom, is emotionally manipulative which leads to Stan beating Bennet. Why did Linden tell Mitch that the police were about to arrest Benett? Obviously Bennet isn't the killer, it's just too early in the show. The killer is going to be a surprise, hopefully a believable surprise. I just don't care about any of the Larson family.
Also what's up with the detective/ chief of police. I appreciate a cop who values civil rights, but why is he so stringent about having Bennet arrested? Bennet obviously has something to hide, but the hints seem to be pretty mild at what he's hiding. But the police chief is so vigilant that I think he has also something to hide. (I would have his name here, but I can't find it anywhere. It's not listed at wikipedia.org or "The Killing" official website.)
Again AMC the name of the show is "The Killing", can you please focus more on that rather than some of the other boring story lines?

1 year anniversary of divorce
Hello,
Today is the 1 year anniversary of my divorce and still the remnants of the consequences continue on. I just finished filling out the forms to hopefully complete a short sale for my former house I haven't lived in in 13 months. I'm still not sure how that became my responsibility. My kids will be moving in with their maternal grandmother in time for school. I'm glad my kids were able to live in that house to give them some transition time for their new living arrangements.
There are still emotional scars from the divorce as well, it slows me down from wanting to move on to relationships with other women. I also have a lot of negative feelings towards my ex still. Divorce sucks and it's lasting consequences aren't so easy to deal with. Divorce is such a strange beast, so different than marriage. As my counseler pointed out, there's not a ceremony to mark it's end. It just ends. I was divorced for three days before I even knew my divorce was final.
I know there's currently a youtube.com page and a movement called "It gets better" which is directed to gay kids who are dealing with all the issues that they have. However the "It gets better" could also apply to anybody that is divorced. Although it scars you, causes financial problems and one has to deal with a person they formerly loved, IT GETS BETTER. It really does! I'm not going to lie to you the first few months are rough, quality counseling will help minimize the pain. It also will help you learn not to repeat mistakes in future relationships. I also don't care why you divorced, everyone gets divorced for a reason. No one is blameless.
Also if you share kids, that adds another element to the divorce trauma. If you divorce without kids, that makes life easier for everyone involved.
I thought today would be a day of celebration, but it has been a much more sad day than I expected. Divorce sucks, there's no way around it.
For some clarification, my ex-wife is no where as bad as these songs. Also my life isn't even close to being this bad. Thanks to some great parents, I'm actually in a pretty good position. Although I still don't have any money, but unfortunately either do my kids.

Carlos Boozer, you are an idiot!, Jazz Just Say No to Jimmer!
Hello,
Being a life long Jazz fan I had the misfortune of experiencing Carlos Boozer's bad attitude self-importance, lack of hustle and his constant injury problems. Can you see why I was so glad Chicago signed him? Carlos Boozer finally had a half decent game last night. He had 26 points, 17 rebounds and one assist. That might be his first career assist, the man is a black hole. That is when he's not scared to shoot. According to his stat line he had two blocks. I don't remember him seeing him block any shots. I do remember his shot getting blocked a few times though. For the most part so far so good, but let's look at his shooting percentage. He made 8 of 19 shots, that's not a real great shooting percentage. Of course when one has several shots blocked, it's hard to have a good shooting percentage.
But the thing that brought back the bad memories of Carlos Boozer's time in Utah is a comment he made about the Miami Heat. He referred to the Heat as the "big two", obviously referring to Lebron James and Dwayne Wade. That did two unfortunate things for the Bulls. That fired up Chris Bosh who absolutely went off in this game. Bosh was 13 for 18 and had 34 points. The second thing is if Miami is the "big two", what does that make the Bulls? They must be the "big one". You have Derrick Rose which is quite simply the man. However you can't consider Carlos Boozer a second big player as he continues to disappear. Especially in this series where he's been absolutely awful.
Out of the three former Jazzmen who play for Chicago this season, the one I miss the most is Kyle Korver. He's been pulling a disappearing act in this series too though. He's going to be how Jimmer Fredette is in the pros. He will be a player that stretches the defense, but be a liability on defense. Korver seemed to fill the scoring role for the second unit and stretching the defense role for the Jazz last season. His absence this season was noticeably missing. The Jazz signed Al Jefferson, who plays harder and with more heart than Boozer does. The Jazz missed Carlos Boozer not at all. He has four more years on his contract. It wouldn't surprise me if he's out of the league before his contract expires. His highest trade value in a couple of years will be as the expiring contract. Thanks again Chicago for taking him off the Jazz's hands.
Now lets talk about Jimmer Fredette. First of all I'd like to say I'm a big Fredette fan. It was so fun cheering for BYU this last year, when they were actually nationally relevant. Jimmer Fredette was a large percentage of the Cougars success. I'm saying thanks Jimmer for all your hard work and excellent shooting for BYU.
But now I have a request for the Utah Jazz, please don't draft Jimmer with the #12 pick. He's not going to be deserving of that pick. Again I think he'll be a Kyle Korver like pro. That's not necessarily a bad thing to be, however that's not the kind of player I want with the #12 pick. Also the Jazz already have a good shooting white guy with Gordon Hayward. That was a reach at #9 in last year's draft. I don't know enough about the college/international players to make a guess who would be good at #12.
However I'm excited about what Doug Gottlieb says. He's projecting that Kyrie Irving is going to go #1 to Cleveland. That will end up being a brilliant pick or a complete disaster. Enes Kanter #2 to Minnesota, is he going to go there and fade away like so many others? Is he going to be the next great European player like Dirk Nowitski or is he going to be another Luc Longley? Gottlieb projectss Derrick Williams going #3 to the Utah Jazz. I would love for the Jazz to get Williams there. I loved watching Williams in the NCAA Tourney, thanks again Arizona for defeating Duke. The Jazz can get rid of the injury prone Andrei Kirilenko, save money and get a better offensive player. Not a bad pick.
Speaking of which I don't doubt that Irving is a great player. But he played at Duke, not a team known for sending the best players to the pros. According to bleacherreport.com, here's their Top 5 pros of the last 30 years. This list doesn't frighten anyone. 5) Luol Deng: a good player but is only the third or fourth best player on the Bulls. 4) Corey Magette: is he still in the NBA? Mr. I've never met a shot I didn't want to shoot. 3) Carlos Boozer: more concerned about himself than his team. 2) Elton Brand, a great player but what has he really done? 1) Grant Hill, how many seasons did he miss due to injury? He's been a solid role player for the Suns though and also is a very classy gentleman. To my knowledge none of those players have ever won a NBA title. Kyrie Irving could move into the Top Five very quickly. Just one question where's Bobby Hurley?
Now let's compare Duke's Top 5 to North Carolina's Top 5. This isn't even close. 5) Rasheed Wallace: A complete misfit but he did win an NBA title. 4) Walter Davis: No NBA titles but a solid player for 15 years. 3) Vince Carter: a player that has never lived up to his potential and that doesn't seem to bother him a lot. 2) James Worthy, one of my favorite players of all-time. He had that amazing quick first step and went on to win 3 NBA titles with the Lakers. He was the NBA Finals MVP in 1988. 1) Well duh, Michael Jordan. I was never a big fan of his, but no one can deny his greatness. He won 6 championships in the NBA.
Just one question where's Pete "The Thrill" Chilcut? Okay, I just made that nickname up. He really wasn't much of a thrill was he? In fact can we say he went to Duke?
Why have Duke players been so mediocre once reaching the pros? I have no theories really. They have a great coach at Duke, Coach K. They have plenty of talent. Duke players seem to be injury prone. How many games did Irving miss his freshman season?

"Overton Window", "HF-0" finale, U2 Sings Eloquently about the loss of love
Hello,
Yesterday I finished Glenn Beck's "The Overton Window". This book is a very fast read and I read it in just a few days. I will admit that although Beck and I are the same religion I despise the man. I think most of the pundits like him are worthless, thankfully though he's a few steps up from the arrogant Rush.
However I saw this book at the library and said what the heck. I picked it up and read through it very quickly. I was surprised that I liked it so much, it's very well written. The story scared the crap out of me as well. I have no doubt there's a group of people headed by an Arthur Gardner type person trying to rule the world. How big they are or are not I have no idea. I thought it was interesting that Beck left the ending of the book a bit vague. What I'm saying is I think there's going to be a sequel. When it comes out I plan on reading that too.
A sign of a good fiction writer is that a reader cares for the characters. I quite like both Molly and Noah. I think Noah's name is a hint of what kind of character he is. I think Beck very intentionally gave him that name. It's irrelevant what your political beliefs this is a very good book. The truth should rule over all political affiliations.
I finally saw the final two episodes of Season 1 of "Hawaii Five-0" last night. I love the characters in the show. I enjoy the Danno-Steve dynamic. I love the characters of Chin and Kono. Kono, the impossibly gorgeous Grace Park. I enjoy that Wo Fat has evaded them so far. That being said this show isn't a story telling dynamo. A lot of time the stories leave a lot to be desired. I absolutely love how many chases there are in this show. It's like the writers don't have any more ideas, so they say let's put a chase here. There seems to be two or three chases each show. Sometimes one chase turns into multiple chases. The season finale was no exception.
I realized that the filming of the show happened before the producers knew if the show was going to be renewed for a second year. I think the producers wanted to have a lot of cliff hangers to increase the chances of the show being renewed for a second season. But these cliffhangers don't pack much suspense. 1) Steve McGarrett being arrested for killing the Governor. We all know that he didn't do it and I hope that's a story line that gets wrapped up pretty soon. 2) Now the cliffhanger involving Kono Kalakaua actually will have a little suspense. Because she really did steal the money that she's being accused of. 3) Wasn't that very quick how Chin rejoined the Hawaii Police Department? Was it believable? No! I think he joined the department to infiltrate it for the Hawaii Five-0 department. 4) I don't know anything about the contract negotiations for Scott Caan. So Danno may be moving back to New Jersey to be with Rachel and Grace. However I don't buy it, what would this show be without Danno? Either Danno and Rachel are going to break up or Rachel and Grace will be coming back to Hawaii to live permanently.
Here's the lovely Grace Park. I do wonder though, would it hurt her to eat a cheeseburger every once-in-a-while?
I love the sense-of-humor of this show. Of the recurring characters my favorite character is mr. shaved ice. That would be Taylor Wily as Kamekona, proprietor of Waiola Shave Ice and confidential informant. He always brings a quirky humor and a change of pace to this show. I actually wish he was used more bra!
Due to U2 being in town on Tuesday and my iPod I realized how many great songs U2 has about the downside of love. For under appreciated songs of the day, I'll be including a few of their videos. Ironically U2 is playing on May 24th, which is the one year anniversary of my divorce. I'll be thinking a lot about my divorce that day, assuming the world is still here of course. I don't know if I'd say I'll be celebrating the anniversary though. We weren't very compatible in being married. However we did have 4 wonderful children, so it wasn't all bad. Although I would say if you are in an unsatisfactory marriage, there's no reason to hold on to it. That's no good for anyone. I've enjoyed the personal rebirth that has come with the explosion of an unhappy marriage. Anyway let's see what U2 has to say about the perils of love.
This is the song that got me thinking about the end of love. This is "Until The End Of The World":
This is "One", one of the most poignant songs about loss of love. Below the video I've included the lyrics.
Is it getting better
Or do you feel the same
Will it make it easier on you now
You got someone to blame
You say...
One love
One life
When it's one need
In the night
One love
We get to share it
Leaves you baby if you
Don't care for it
Did I disappoint you
Or leave a bad taste in your mouth
You act like you never had love
And you want me to go without
Well it's...
Too late
Tonight
To drag the past out into the light
We're one, but we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other
One...
Have you come here for forgiveness
Have you come to raise the dead
Have you come here to play Jesus
To the lepers in your head
Did I ask too much
More than a lot
You gave me nothing
Now it's all I got
We're one
But we're not the same
Well we
Hurt each other
Then we do it again
You say
Love is a temple
Love a higher law
Love is a temple
Love the higher law
You ask me to enter
But then you make me crawl
And I can't be holding on
To what you got
When all you got is hurt
One love
One blood
One life
You got to do what you should
One life
With each other
Sisters
Brothers
One life
But we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other
One...life
One
These lyrics hit very close to home:
You ask me to enter
But then you make me crawl
And I can't be holding on
To what you got
When all you got is hurt
This song also has some amazing lyrics, this is "With or Without You":

Don't be a Chicken Little, The World Is Not Ending Today
Hello,
With many people saying the world is coming today, I urge people not to be a Chicken Little. Now do I know for sure that the world isn't ending today? No. Am I very skeptical that it will actually end? Not only yes, but a very emphatic yes!!!! Of course many people have predicted the world is going to end many times now, but we are still here. The same thing is going to happen today. I'm living my life that nothing of the end-of-the-world variety will happen today. Don't be a Chicken Little. Not only was Chicken Little wrong, but in some tellings of this story he was eaten by Foxey Loxey.
The methodology used to determine that today is the last day is faulty. I believe that the Bible has many truths that can help us. However as the Bible has been handed down over the generations, many things have been changed from the original. So flawed methodology based on changed scripture is almost irresponsible. Thankfully most people aren't believing this bunk. People aren't rushing to the grocery stores to stock up etc.
Neither a Chicken Little or Foxey Loxey be! Here's the first of two of the tellings of the Chicken Little tale,
Narrator: Chicken Little was in the woods one day when an acorn fell on her head. It scared her so much she trembled all over. She shook so hard, half her feathers fell out.
Chicken Little: "Help! Help! The sky is falling! I have to go tell the king!"
Narrator: So she ran in great fright to tell the king. Along the way she met Henny Penny.
Henny Penny: "Where are you going, Chicken Little?"
Chicken Little: "Oh, help! The sky is falling!"
Henny Penny: "How do you know?"
Chicken Little: "I saw it with my own eyes, and heard it with my own ears, and part of it fell on my head!"
Henny Penny: "This is terrible, just terrible! We'd better hurry up."
Narrator: So they both ran away as fast as they could. Soon they met Ducky Lucky.
Ducky Lucky: "Where are you going, Chicken Little and Henny Penny?"
Chicken Little & Henny Penny: "The sky is falling! The sky is falling! We're going to tell the king!"
Ducky Lucky: "How do you know?"
Chicken Little: "I saw it with my own eyes, and heard it with my own ears, and part of it fell on my head."
Ducky Lucky: "Oh dear, oh dear! We'd better run!"
Narrator: So they all ran down the road as fast as they could. Soon they met Goosey Loosey walking down the roadside.
Goosey Loosey "Hello there. Where are you all going in such a hurry?"
Chicken Little: "We're running for our lives!"
Henny Penny: "The sky is falling!"
Ducky Lucky: "And we're running to tell the king!"
Goosey Loosey: "How do you know the sky is falling?"
Chicken Little: "I saw it with my own eyes, and heard it with my own ears, and part of it fell on my head!"
Goosey Loosey: "Goodness! Then I'd better run with you."
Narrator: And they all ran in great fright across a field. Before long they met Turkey Lurkey strutting back and forth..
Turkey Lurkey: "Hello there, Chicken Little, Henny Penny, Ducky Lucky, and Goosey Loosey. Where are you all going in such a hurry?"
Chicken Little: "Help! Help!"
Henny Penny: "We're running for our lives!"
Ducky Lucky: "The sky is falling!"
Goosey Loosey: "And we're running to tell the king!"
Turkey Lurkey: "How do you know the sky is falling?"
Chicken Little: "I saw it with my own eyes, and heard it with my own ears, and part of it fell on my head!"
Turkey Lurkey: "Oh dear! I always suspected the sky would fall someday. I'd better run with you."
Narrator: So they ran with all their might, until they met Foxy Loxy.
Foxy Loxy: "Well, well. Where are you rushing on such a fine day?"
Chicken Little, Henny Penny, Ducky Lucky, Goosey Loosey, Turkey Lurkey (together) "Help! Help!" It's not a fine day at all. The sky is falling, and we're running to tell the king!"
Foxy Loxy: "How do you know the sky is falling?"
Chicken Little: "I saw it with my own eyes, and heard it with my own ears, and part of it fell on my head!"
Foxy Loxy: "I see. Well then, follow me, and I'll show you the way to the king."
Narrator: So Foxy Loxy led Chicken Little, Henny Penny, Ducky Lucky, Goosey Loosey, and Turkey Lurkey across a field and through the woods. He led them straight to his den, and they never saw the king to tell him that the sky is falling.
Apparently there are many versions of this story, here's another one:
Chicken Little likes to walk in the woods. She likes to look at the trees. She likes to smell the flowers. She likes to listen to the birds singing.
One day while she is walking an acorn falls from a tree, and hits the top of her little head.
- My, oh, my, the sky is falling. I must run and tell the lion about it, - says Chicken Little and begins to run.
She runs and runs. By and by she meets the hen.
- Where are you going? - asks the hen.
- Oh, Henny Penny, the sky is falling and I am going to the lion to tell him about it.
- How do you know it? - asks Henny Penny.
- It hit me on the head, so I know it must be so, - says Chicken Little.
- Let me go with you! - says Henny Penny. - Run, run.
So the two run and run until they meet Ducky Lucky.
- The sky is falling, - says Henny Penny. - We are going to the lion to tell him about it.
- How do you know that? - asks Ducky Lucky.
- It hit Chicken Little on the head, - says Henny Penny.
- May I come with you? - asks Ducky Lucky.
- Come, - says Henny Penny.
So all three of them run on and on until they meet Foxey Loxey.
- Where are you going? - asks Foxey Loxey.
- The sky is falling and we are going to the lion to tell him about it, - says Ducky Lucky.
- Do you know where he lives? - asks the fox.
- I don't, - says Chicken Little.
- I don't, - says Henny Penny.
- I don't, - says Ducky Lucky.
- I do, - says Foxey Loxey. - Come with me and I can show you the way.
He walks on and on until he comes to his den.
- Come right in, - says Foxey Loxey.
They all go in, but they never, never come out again.

Let Boozer start but Gibson finish, Under appreciated songs.
Good afternoon,
Although the McCourt family continues to profess their love for the Dodgers, their team continues to flounder on the field. Yes, I think the unsettled McCourt ownership and divorce battle affects the team. A divorce really isn't over until one of the divorcees die. I would suggest to the McCourt's if they really love the Dodgers, then please disappear. Eventually MLB is going to take away the team, probably in the next several days. But until MLB does Dodgers fans a favorite, please hide. Please spare us of any more of your unneeded drama and false love for the Dodgers.
I actually watched the first half of the Bulls-Heat game Wednesday night. I had wondered when is Taj Gibson going to be a starter over Carlos Boozer? I wanted to see how logical it was for Gibson to become the starter. Earlier I had only watched brief snippets and highlights of Bulls playoff action. Here's my evaluation, let Boozer start. However I would sit Boozer in the 4th quarter. In the last Bulls game, Boozer had a very typical game. He played 27 minutes, missed 70% of his shots, grabbed 8 rebounds and was completely worthless on the defensive end. He also scored all of 7 points. Yes Chicago you paid 13 million dollars for 7 points in a playoff game and no defense all season.
Meanwhile Gibson played most of the 4th quarter and had a very emphatic dunk. He scored all 8 of his points in the 4th quarter. When he entered the game for the first time the crowd roared. He played 21 minutes but only grabbed one rebound. Gibson is one of those players I love, a blue collar player. He hustles, he fights and makes the best of every chance he gets. Meanwhile Boozer is a prima donna and has out sized reactions those times he actually does something effective.
Even Chicago Sun Times sports writer Rick Morrissey thinks that Gibson should be getting more of Boozer's minutes. So it's just not me. This isn't unprecedented. Russell Westbrook, the explosive point guard for the Thunder, sat out the entire 4th quarter last night. And he's a much better and tenacious player than Boozer.
TV update: "The Event", "No Ordinary Family" and "V" all were cancelled after only one or two seasons. Are any of those cancellations a surprise? No! "The Event" started out okay but quickly dive bombed into one of the worst story lines ever. Jason Ritter as a hero? Please. He was as convincing as an actor as Randy Jackson is as a judge. The whole story was stupid, every element of it. It was good to see Blake Underwood again on TV. I only watched about the first third of the season. I wish I would have given up earlier.
"No Ordinary Family" started out very well but quickly went downhill. I got so sick of these smart characters doing dumb things, then spending the rest of the show to fix it. When that started to happen every week it was time for me to bail. It was good to see Julie Benz and Autumn Reeser on my TV every week though. Why do I get the feeling that Reeser is a lot like her character in real life? Although I doubt she's naive as her character. I watched this show for only the first half of the season.
"V": where a good idea went to die. What was good about this show? Um, not much. Elizabeth Mitchell as an FBI agent was as believable as Paris Hilton as nuclear physicist. I only watched a few episodes of this show before I realized how stupid it was. It makes me wonder how bad are the shows that don't make it on TV when this show did.
Now on to some of the good shows of the season. "Castle" continues to be an amazing show and it's finale was awesome. Killing off a main character? That required a lot of courage, especially since Captain Montgomery was such a likable character. Although trying to make people wonder if Beckett is alive is sort of lame. Of course she's still alive, there wouldn't be a show without her. And if Stana Katic isn't the most beautiful woman on TV I don't know who is.
"The Good Wife" ended on such a good note as well. I loved that Will Gardner and Alicia Florrick finally got together. Both Josh Charles and Julianna Marguiles play their roles with so much skill. Two amazing actors inhabiting two amazing characters. I also loved that Peter Florrick was the leaker in the DA's office that helped get an innocent man a mistrial. It's good to see Archie Panjabi on my TV every week. She's an absolutely gorgeous woman who's willing to do anything to get what she needs. Is she a lesbian, a heterosexual or bi sexual? I think even she doesn't know at this point where she is sexually. Of course it doesn't matter as she's such a great character.
Finally I love "Blue Bloods", a fantastic cast. Although I hope we no longer have to hear about the Blue Templar, that was a non starter as a story for me. I just didn't care about it and it caused a weak season finale. Of course, people don't watch to find out about The Blue Templar. They watch for the excellent cast, the sly humor and the interplay between the Reagan family. I also watch because I love to see the gorgeous Bridget Monyihan as much as possible.
"Hawaii Five-O" is sort of in the middle between the good and the bad. I still haven't seen the finale of that show. When I do see Grace Park it makes me think of her role in "Battlestar Galactica", a show that is a 100 times better. Of course they don't have bikinis in space, but they are all over the place in Hawaii. And the producers of "H5-0" only need the flimsiest of reasons to put Grace Park in the flimsiest of a bikini.
Speaking of gorgeous women, Miss Aniston will you please be my boss?
After that gorgeous pictures here's some under appreciated songs:
Here's a personal favorite of late:
This song is amazing but it's such a cheesy 80's video. A video very much of it's time.
Here's the lyrics (thanks to lyricsfreak.com) :
So now love is gone
I can't t go on, love is gone
I want to say
Now it's just too late
Waited far too long
Should have told you then I knew
Should have told you right
From the start
But the words
Didn't come out right
So I'll tell you
Straight from my heart
You meant more to me
Than I let you see
You held on somehow
All your tenderness
And your sweet caress
I miss you now
But a headstrong stubborn man
Only works it out the best he can
Valentines he never sent
There's not enough time
He's a workin' man
Can't stop fallin'
Heartaches callin'
Finds you after the fall
Saints or sinners
Take no prisoners
What's left after you fall
No not much no
Oh I say love is gone
I can't go on
Now love is gone
I want to say
But it's just too late
Waited far too long
Should have told you then I knew
Should have told you right
From the start
But the words
Didn't come out right
So I'll tell you
Straight from my heart
(chorus)
No no not much
After the fall
After you fall
After you fall
Okay I know that Journey isn't know for their great lyrics, but I think their lyrics are pretty good in this song. I especially love the chorus:
Can't stop fallin'
Heartaches callin'
Finds you after the fall
Saints or sinners
Take no prisoners
What's left after you fall
No not much no
You are so right Journey, there isn't much left after you fall. Not that you would want it anymore.
Not the best band ever and one of the ugliest bands ever, but a great song:

Led Zeppelin meet Haley Reinhart, Dodgers troubles
Hello,
The greatest band ever with one of their many classic songs, "What Is and Should Never Be":
Obviously I'm writing about this because of Haley's amazing performance of this song last night on "American Idol". She did this song justice. She rocked this song and handled her fall with grace. I love Haley and hope she has an amazing career when this schlock fest is over. I think Lauren Alaina is also good. She has an absolutely amazing voice. Again how good would she have been if she would have had to wait a few years? Scotty McDreary again was boring. Let me guess Scotty you are going to sing 3 country songs. I hope he has sent apologies to Kenny Rogers for destroying the great "She Believes In Me". Sadly he's still going to win.
For the uninitiated this is how "She Believes In Me" should sound:
This is an absolutely gorgeous song, a song about two people truly being in love. I hope to find a relationship like that some day. I love the lyrics, the feeling of the song and Kenny Rogers sings it perfectly. They truly don't make songs like they use to. For instance, that new Beyonce song that premiered on "AI" last night. The song that sounds like so many other songs.
Led Zeppelin: Steven Tyler just to let you know that's what a real rock band sounds like.
It seems Frank McCourt's ex-wife Jamie is trying to force Frank to sell the Dodgers. Now I do agree that's exactly what should happen, McCourt should have never been able to buy the Dodgers in the first place. He ran it like his personal kingdom, caring more about himself than the Dodgers. All the signs of his largess are now appearing with payroll issues. When the dark underbelly of the Dodgers expenses are exposed it's not going to be a pretty sight. Jamie seems to be at least as culpable for the financial misdeeds as Frank.
I do agree that McCourt should have to sell the team. But what Jamie is doing now is just trying to hurt Frank. She's just being vindictive and that's pretty pathetic. Divorce is not a very happy place. Jamie probably has very little emotional control over Frank so she has to do something that can hurt him in another way. That's exactly what she's doing here.
She seems to be proud of a letter writing campaign of hers that she says partially caused MLB to take over the Dodgers in the first place. This is what Jamie says about her actions:
"As I've said all along, my goal is to resolve this situation for my family in a way that also advances the best interests of the Dodgers fans, players and franchise," Jamie McCourt said in a statement. "This motion will hopefully provide some momentum in the right direction." (Thanks as always to ESPN.com)
What Jamie is really trying to do is quite transparent. Since when did she care about the interests of the Dodgers fans, players and franchise? Never. The only interests Jamie is looking to advance is Jamie's. What Jamie doesn't say is "it is in her best interests financially for that sale to happen before the Dodgers are formally seized by baseball." (Thanks again to espn.com)
Of course both McCourts are equally at blame for their complete failure as owners. This has been the dark ages for Dodgers fans, hopefully karma will give us a Renaissance.

Red Wings Rule!, "AI" Final Four Preview
Hello,
Last night I worked until 7:00 and got home right before the end of the second period of the Red Wings-Sharks game. Both teams were nice enough not to score until I started watching the game. About midway through the third period San Jose scored and I started getting worried. I admit I know next to nothing about hockey. But it seems to me when Detroit gets down a goal, they kick their game up several notches. They play wish desperation and a will to win. To paraphrase Rudy T. "Never underestimate the heart of a champion". I know there are at least a few of the Red Wings who have won the Stanley Cup. I want to give much deserved props to Red Wings goalie, Jimmy Howard. He kept the Red Wings in the match early with many spectacular saves. One final thing, it would have been so awesome to have been at the Joe last night. The crowd was so loud and the atmosphere must have been electrifying. It's fun to be at a game like that.
I also occasionally flipped over the the Hawks-Bulls game. I continue to love watching Carlos Boozer play. I especially love how he freaks out when he scores a basket. His shiny head with his large mouth open screaming like he's amazing. Then you look at his stat line. Sure he had 12 rebounds, but he also missed 7 of 11 shots. Also his defensive "effort" is severely lacking. It's amazing how many times the Hawks ran past him to the basket for easy scores. Did he hustle more? Did he try to play defense? Not really. He's not much of an asset on the offensive end and he's a major liability on the defensive end. I seriously want to know does anyone have video of Boozer playing defense?
At the end of this video is what I'm talking about in Boozer's over exuberant style:
A couple of golf notes, no I'm not becoming a golf fan. Tony Romo failed on his attempt to play in an upcoming golf tournament. Um Tony, shouldn't you be focusing on your day job? You know as quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. I know you are preparing for a wedding and that should be your #1 priority, but your #2 priority should be the Dallas Cowboys quarterback. When you got injured and the Cowboys played better without you, what does that tell you? Playoffs games and Super Bowls are won in the off season with hard work and preparation. Now would be a good time for you to find those things so that you won't choke anymore. That is if there's something that can help you with that. With Jerry Jones as general manager and Tony Romo as quarterback, Dallas has two very big liabilities preventing them from reaching Super Bowl glory.
Also one thing I've learned, live your life with awareness of karma. I try to live my life that way. I'm still waiting for karma to catch up to Scam Newton. It hasn't yet but it most ceraintly will. Tiger Woods is currently reaping the effects of karma from his lacivious lifestyle. After being the #1 PGA player for so many years, he has now slipped to #8 in the world rankings. He also hasn't won the last 19 tournaments he has been in. It's time for him to move on in life. Following Michael Jordan, he's the athlete I'm most sick of hearing about.
Tonight I have book club and I still haven't watched last night's "The Good Wife", when am I going to get "American Idol"? I'm not sure. Tonight the "AI" theme is Lieber and Stoller songs, not the most exciting theme ever. And I know when I think of Broadway the name that jumps to my mind is Lady Gaga. So obviously she'll be the mentor tonight. Can we just admit that Jimmy Iovine has been completely worthless and not have him any more? Also "AI" is 90 minutes tonight again, Fox's greed continues unabated.
Obviously Lady Gaga is on "American Idol" for both "Idol" and Lady Gaga. Gaga has her new CD coming out on May 23rd. Although I do find it a bit strange that Gaga is debuting some of her new songs through Farmville. Talk about oxymoronic. Don't worry Gaga, you are going to sell several million copies of that CD. you might sell 1 million copies it's first week of release.
I finished reading the amazing and poignant "The Art of Racing In The Rain" last night. It's one of those books that reminds me so much of why I love to read. When I get done reading a book like that, I love picking out the next book I'm going to read. That's what I did last night and the book I chose to read was Suzanne Collins "The Hunger Games". I think I had tried to read this book before and just couldn't get through it. I want to see what all the hype is about so I continued reading it last night. After reading the first 33 pages I still don't see why this book is getting so much hype. I will continue reading it for several more pages. But if it doesn't set me on fire soon I'm going to move on to another book.

May 10th, 2011 "American Idol" Quick Review
Hello,
At least a partial review of last night's "AI" will be coming eventually. Just a few quick thoughts. Lady Gaga was in full freak mode last night, completely bizarre behavior and makeup. Why does she like to hide behind so much makeup and such strange behavior? I thought she was well adjusted, but maybe she's still a very insecure young girl. I liked how she tried to help make James Durbin "sexy". Gaga you may be a creative genius but there's even only so much that you can do!
I love how Scotty kisses his cross when something even slightly immoral gets near him. Don't worry Scotty I don't think she was trying to corrupt you. Also you can tell Lauren is a young girl as she's frightened of using the word "evil". As Shakespeare would say, "much ado about nothing". Lauren you are just singing a lyric, you aren't actually saying you are evil. The audience knows this. "Evil" in context of the song just is telling the man not to mess around on you or you'll kick his butt.
Haley was bad on "Earth Song". When she said she was singing a Michael Jackson song, I thought she would pick "Black or White" or "They Don't Care About Us". Haley "Earth Song" is about Jackson's 50th best song and honestly it's not that inspiring. However she was absolutely amazing on "I Who Have Nothing". I don't think her version was as good as Jordin Sparks version, few "Idol" performances have been, but it was awesome.
Although I love Haley, if it was up to me she'd win, I'm fearful she's going home tonight. Randy Jackson and Jennifer Lopez continue to love everyone, whether they deserve it or not, but her. I'm so glad JLo won't be back next season and TPTB please finally get rid of the barnacle. He's been stuck to the side of the "AI" boat for too damn long.

Great Songs, NFL Greed Out continues, R.I.P. Harmon Killebrew
Hello,
"Love and Forgiveness"- Miley Cyrus
Neil Diamond's amazing and beautiful "Hello Again".
I love Neil's voice on this great song, "Forever In Blue Jeans".
One of the best songs about divorce and loss ever, the lyrics hit a bit too close to home:
The lyrics:
Here we are
What is left of a husband and a wife four good kids
Who have a way of gettin on with their lives
I'm not old but I'm getting a whole lot older every day
It's too late to keep from goin' crazy
I got to get away
The reasons that I can't stay don't have a thing to do with being in love
And I understand that lovin a man shouldn't have to be this rough
You ain't the only one who feels like this world left you far behind
I don't know why you gotta be angry all the time
Our boys are strong the spittin image of you when you were young
I hope someday they can see past what you have become
And I remember every time I said I'd never leave
But what I can't live with is memories of the way you used to be
The reasons that I can't stay don't have a thing to do with being in love
And I understand that lovin a man shouldn't have to be this rough
You ain't the only one who feels like this world left you far behind
I don't know why you gotta be angry all the time
Twenty years have came and went since I walked out of your door
I never quite made it back to the one I was before
And God it hurts me to think of you
For the light in your eyes was gone
Sometimes I don't know why this old world can't leave well enough alone
The reasons that I can't stay don't have a thing to do with being in love
And I understand that lovin a man shouldn't have to be this rough
You ain't the only one Who feels like this world left you far behind
I don't know why you gotta be Angry All The Time
I don't know why you gotta be Angry All The Time
As near as I can tell today is Day 68 of the NFL's Greed Out. Following the latest legal wrangling, it appears the NFL owners have the upper hand. The next hearing is scheduled for June 3rd. This hearing will be at the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. This is the same court that ruled a permanent stay of the owner's lockout. Both sides returned to court ordered mediation this morning. That mediation ended early Tuesday afternoon with the NFL saying progress has been made. The next negotiating sessions are set for June 7th. However it's unlikely for the owners to give any ground in negotiations as they appear to have the upper hand in legal issues now. ESPN's Sal Palontino predicts that the owners will win the June 3rd court ruling as well. (Thanks to espn.com.)
Where does that leave us? Training camps are suppose to open in little more than two months, but the longer this nonsense goes on the less likely that will happen. The NFL has built flexibility into the season schedule in case there are games lost. There's flexibility for up to 3 weeks to be lost but still to play a full season. Even if we weren't waiting on the courts, it seems the two sides aren't even close to making a deal. It's looking highly likely that games will be lost. Also the longer this goes on the more it looks like the players will give in. Please don't try to make me sad that they might have to get a real job though!
I still hope games are lost. I hate the greed of millionaires vs. billionaires. Both sides are in some serious need of humbling. If the NFL missed a season or two I think both the players and owners would return for more respect for the fan. I know that football is a brutal sport that usually leaves life long scars. However they could work many years in a mine and face all the adversity that comes with that job. NFL players should be grateful for the jobs they have.
Harmon Killebrew died this morning at the age of 74. Killebrew was known most for his prodigious blasts. But it's been long known that he's one of the classiest people in sports. Not only that but he's one of the most well known Mormon athletes. It seems near the end of his life he fell away from the church some. That's too bad, but I don't think he has anything to worry about in terms of salvation.
Finally in a story that is amazingly sad and ongoing, Bryan Stow is being moved to a San Francisco hospital. Stow is the San Francisco Giants fan who was beaten following a Dodgers-Giants game in LA. Stow is in critical condition with brain injuries. He was beaten by two drunken Dodgers fans.
There's no idea whether Stow will have a full or partial recovery or how long the recovery will take.
As a Dodger's fan this story makes me very sad. Again I think this will be one of the lasting legacies of the disastrous McCourt ownership. There wasn't enough security where Stow was beaten. I wonder if the money that was suppose to go to enhanced security instead went to fund Frank McCourt's extravagant life. Predictably the Dodgers have beefed up their security. Too little, too late which should be the motto for McCourt's ownership. I understand that fans get worked up at a game, that's understandable. It's also fun as long as it stays at jawing, but once you start hitting then it has gone too far. Be a fan but don't be a jerk.

When is Taj Gibson going to become a starter?
Hello,
I'll be honest with you, the NBA Eastern Conference Finals gives me almost no excitement. I can't really get behind the Heat or the Bulls. I also don't hate either team enough to cheer against. I didn't watch any of last night's Game One and it looks like I missed a snoozer. I did see the highlights this morning though. I laughed as near the end of the game it seems Carlos Boozer was sitting on the bench. He was pretending like he's the good teammate by cheering and towel waving for them. Boozer only played 26 minutes last night while Gibson played 23 minutes. Gibson also had that amazing highlight dunk. So Coach T when are you just going to make Gibson the starter? Boozer has an okay offensive game, but he's virtually useless on the defensive end. Gibson may not be as talented as Boozer, but he has more heart and plays harder. I bet it's very painful for Chicago to sign paychecks for Boozer.
I will say this about the NBA playoffs, it seems like any one of the 4 remaining teams can win. They all seem pretty equal. With Oklahoma City-Dallas tipping off tomorrow, I could see the Thunder winning that series. Go Thunder!
But isn't this the most boring final 4 teams since I don't know when. Who would care about Chicago if it weren't for Derrick Rose? Who else on that team excites you? The same with Dallas, their main man is Dirk Nowitski. While a very good player, he leaves me cold. Also Jason Terry's jet routine is obnoxious. It's the most obnoxious celebration routine since Aaron Rodgers champion belt. Then Oklahoma City is fairly anonymous, although they have electrifying Kevin Durrant and Russell Westbrook. Lastly is the team that probably has the most interest and hate following LeBron's dubious announcement this past summer.
In the NHL: now that the Red Wings have been eliminated, I'm barely paying attention to their playoffs. I find that hockey can be an exciting sport as long as I have a rooting interest. Also a hard fought and well played series helps as well. That's exactly what the Detroit-San Jose series was. There were also many outstanding individual performances.
Speaking of teams with Red in their title, Boston is finally .500 for the first time all season. Boston went into the Bronx on Friday for a 3 game series with the Yankees. After a slow start to the season, the Red Sox have slowly been inching their way back to mediocrity. In spite of that they were only 17-20 record Friday morning. It seemed highly unlikely that the Red Sox would be .500 at the end of the weekend. However that is exactly what happened. With just enough pitching by Josh Beckett, Clay Buchholz and Jon Lester the Red Sox swept the Yankees. That has got to be so demoralizing for the Yankees, especially with Jorge Posada's temper tantrum. I love to see the Yankees fall apart, especially at the hands of the Red Sox.
The Red Sox need to win when Beckett, Buchholz and Lester are pitching. That's because Daisuke Matsuzaka (3-3) and John Lackey have been both mediocre at best. Guess who's starting the next two games for Boston. For Boston to win those two games their offense needs to show up again as it did in games 1 and 3 in the Yankees series. Projecting ahead a bit I could see a Phillies-Red Sox World Series. Now that would be fun.
The Yankees tanked this last weekend, speaking of tanking that's exactly what "The Green Hornet" does. I went into that movie with pretty low expectations, as people weren't exactly raving about it. However it was even worse than I expected. The worse thing about the movie is Seth Rogen. I wouldn't have so much venom for him if it wasn't the fact that he also was a co-writer. That means he's partially responsible for the boring story, the terrible acting and the horrific script. The script isn't funny, patronizing to Kato (a wasted Jay Chou, the best character in the whole lame movie) and completely unbelievable.
In this low rent movie, it had the perfect actors for two of the main roles in Rogen and Cameron Diaz. How are Rogen and Diaz still getting roles? Has she done anything relevant since "There's Something About Mary"? I never thought she was that attractive either. Anyway I would highly advise for you to stay far away from this movie.
Finally, after a strong start "The Killing" is starting to drag. I was very disappointed by last night's episode. Honestly the whole terrorism plot is stupid, where the hell did that come from? I know that terrorists are Hollywood's new favorite enemy, but that has been so overdone. That whole idea is lame and boring.
Other boring story points, the Darren Richmond campaign. I could care less if Richmond wins this election. Yawn! This is a non-starter story line for me. I thought that the Richmond story line would have been tied up early in the series. The fact that it's still going on hurts the show. Also the whole Larsen family angle has quickly become tiresome. I get that's suppose to be the emotional heart of the movie, but it's just not working at all. The last non-starter story line for me is whether Linden is going to go to California to be with her may no longer be fiance. Again another story line I just don't care about. Her son nailed that situation on the head when he said something about her not really wanting to go to California. I'm glad the writers included that line, as that's been so obvious to the viewing audience. I sensed Linden's ambivalence from the first or second episode and it wasn't just the case. Can Linden and Rick please break up asap? Also I was bored by the Holder is a recovering junkie story line.
Hopefully we can now get back to get back to the killing of Rosie Larsen, after all this show is titled "The Killing". It's not called "The Richmond Campaign" or "The Larsens Are Falling Apart" or "Boring Junkie Story". Those TV shows aren't getting made for obvious reasons. I know the show has already completed filming. I hope some of these extraneous story lines get tied up pretty soon and then we can focus on why people are watching the show in the first place.
