Led Zeppelin meet Haley Reinhart, Dodgers troubles

Hello,

The greatest band ever with one of their many classic songs, "What Is and Should Never Be":

Obviously I'm writing about this because of Haley's amazing performance of this song last night on "American Idol". She did this song justice. She rocked this song and handled her fall with grace. I love Haley and hope she has an amazing career when this schlock fest is over. I think Lauren Alaina is also good. She has an absolutely amazing voice. Again how good would she have been if she would have had to wait a few years? Scotty McDreary again was boring. Let me guess Scotty you are going to sing 3 country songs. I hope he has sent apologies to Kenny Rogers for destroying the great "She Believes In Me". Sadly he's still going to win.

For the uninitiated this is how "She Believes In Me" should sound:

This is an absolutely gorgeous song, a song about two people truly being in love. I hope to find a relationship like that some day. I love the lyrics, the feeling of the song and Kenny Rogers sings it perfectly. They truly don't make songs like they use to. For instance, that new Beyonce song that premiered on "AI" last night. The song that sounds like so many other songs.

Led Zeppelin: Steven Tyler just to let you know that's what a real rock band sounds like.

It seems Frank McCourt's ex-wife Jamie is trying to force Frank to sell the Dodgers. Now I do agree that's exactly what should happen, McCourt should have never been able to buy the Dodgers in the first place. He ran it like his personal kingdom, caring more about himself than the Dodgers. All the signs of his largess are now appearing with payroll issues. When the dark underbelly of the Dodgers expenses are exposed it's not going to be a pretty sight. Jamie seems to be at least as culpable for the financial misdeeds as Frank.

I do agree that McCourt should have to sell the team. But what Jamie is doing now is just trying to hurt Frank. She's just being vindictive and that's pretty pathetic. Divorce is not a very happy place. Jamie probably has very little emotional control over Frank so she has to do something that can hurt him in another way. That's exactly what she's doing here.

She seems to be proud of a letter writing campaign of hers that she says partially caused MLB to take over the Dodgers in the first place. This is what Jamie says about her actions:
"As I've said all along, my goal is to resolve this situation for my family in a way that also advances the best interests of the Dodgers fans, players and franchise," Jamie McCourt said in a statement. "This motion will hopefully provide some momentum in the right direction." (Thanks as always to ESPN.com)

What Jamie is really trying to do is quite transparent. Since when did she care about the interests of the Dodgers fans, players and franchise? Never. The only interests Jamie is looking to advance is Jamie's. What Jamie doesn't say is "it is in her best interests financially for that sale to happen before the Dodgers are formally seized by baseball." (Thanks again to espn.com)

Of course both McCourts are equally at blame for their complete failure as owners. This has been the dark ages for Dodgers fans, hopefully karma will give us a Renaissance.
