Final Update on Jimmy Marsh song, Red Sox, Dodgers (Updated 10/3/2014)

Hello,

Update: this has finally been confirmed. Thanks to "kitty lover" on Yahoo answers, we now know the name of this song. It is Jimmy Marsh's "Goin' Out Tonight". The CD is titled "Redemption", it was released on March 1st, 2012. The digital CD is available at amazon.com for $8.99. My thanks to "kitty lover".

This is the final update on the Jimmy Marsh song in "Blue Bloods" from December 3rd, 2010. There still has been no word officially on the name of the song. I'm just going to go with the song is titled "We're Going Out Tonight". I was thinking there may be some more information coming about the name of the song on this week's "Blue Bloods", however there isn't going to be a new show until January 7th.

We do know for sure the song in question is sung by Jimmy Marsh and that he works with "Blue Bloods" star Donnie Wahlberg in music.

Speaking of Wahlberg, the noted Boston Red Sox fan, should be very happy today. Not only did the Red Sox trade for Adrian Gonzalez, now they've added another power hitter Carl Crawford. With these moves many are already considering the Red Sox as the team to beat this season. Sort of like the Miami Heat, just with a lot less hate. Boston also adds Kevin Youkilis, Jacoby Ellsbury and Dustin Pedroia next season. Obviously the last three players already play for the Red Sox. However they missed so many games it seems like they didn't. The Red Sox were still in contention for the playoffs through most of last season.

The Carl Crawford signing is doubly good for the Red Sox. Not only do they gain a great player, but they sign away a player from the Tampa Bay Rays.

My favorite player growing up was Steve Garvey, he played for some of the greatest Dodgers teams in history. Now Garvey has announced "he has put together an investment group interested in buying the team" (thanks to ESPN.com). I would be so glad for them, or almost anyone else to buy the Dodgers, from the McCourt family. I hate the litigious McCourts, their divorce drama has dragged the Dodgers through the gutter. Of course the McCourts don't want to sale. With a judge essentially ruling that both Frank and Jamie co-own the team, what a nightmare that would be to sale.

The Dodgers have been having a pretty good free agency period, although not as good as the Red Sox, but how good can they truly be with the McCourts running the team into the ground. Frank and Jamie if you really love the Dodgers, please sell them.

I love how the Auburn fiasco continues on, Gene Chizik has won the Home Depot Coach of the Year award. Having companies sponsor the awards, how greedy is that. Anyway I keep on thinking all the Auburn accolades are all built on a house of cards and I can't wait until that house of cards collapses. When we eventually find out how complicit Cam Newton was in this whole scandal, the people ruling Newton innocent will look incredibly gullible. I know I'm preaching to the choir though, I don't think anyone really believes that Newton is innocent. Karma hasn't come back on Auburn yet, but it will.

Again most of this is inspired of the greed of the BCS and there anything goes mentality. It makes me laugh about the corporate America concept of transparency. Big companies and their top executives are all about transparency until it comes to their behavior. See the latest BCS misstep in how they had to fix Boise State's ranking after a "mistake".

Finally, for now, the Brett Favre sojourn is winding down to a sad end. He hung on for one year too long. The Vikings have had a less than mediocre season with Favre as quarterback. Although Favre is injured, his new coach Leslie Frazier already has said he will play. Favre obviously won't be playing anywhere this season. There's no point in playing him. The Vikings aren't going to the playoffs. The Vikings need to start preparing for life after Brett and playing him is not the way to go. It's time to give the ball to Tavaris Jackson.

Also Brett needs to start preparing for life after football. He needs to apologize to Jenn Sterger and his wife. He also needs to get out of the public eye so he can patch up this mess. I love how the Sterger investigation has taken so long, the NFL will probably announce a ruling this week or next. In other words the NFL has delayed long enough, so any kind of punishment they give to Favre will be largely symbolic.

Have a great day, themusicaddict
