Divorce advice,Thanks to 101.9 Gen X Radio

Hello,

Before I get to the fun stuff, there's a great song about how the light at the end of the tunnel after a break up. For those people who stumbled across this blog because I've written about divorce, there's life after divorce I promise. It is a lot of work and there will be some rough patches but just keep on going. Counseling has been a great help for me, I would encourage that for anyone. To see the difference for me, compare and contrast my blogs now compared to a few months ago. I'm a lot better now, but I continue to work on it. This song will help you:

The above song is sung by Leona Lewis, who also sings "Bleeding Love". That's a great song, but this actually may be a better song. Leona Lewis also happens to have an amazing voice and she sings this song with so much feeling. Here are the lyrics for "Better In Time":

"Better In Time"

It's been the longest winter without you
I didn't know where to turn to
See somehow I can't forget you
After all that we've been through

Going coming thought I heard a knock
Who's there no one
Thinking that I deserve it
Now I realize that I really didn't know
If you didn't notice you mean everything
Quickly I'm learning to love again
All I know is I'm gonna be OK

[Chorus:]
Thought I couldn't live without you
It's gonna hurt when it heals too
It'll all get better in time
And even though I really love you
I'm gonna smile cause I deserve to
It'll all get better in time

I couldn't turn on the TV
Without something there to remind me
Was it all that easy
To just put aside your feelings

If I'm dreaming don't wanna laugh
Hurt my feelings but that's the path
I believe in
And I know that time will heal it
If you didn't notice boy you meant everything
Quickly I'm learning to love again
All I know is I'm gonna be OK

[Chorus:]
Thought I couldn't live without you
It's gonna hurt when it heals too
It'll all get better in time
And even though I really love you
I'm gonna smile cause I deserve to
It'll all get better in time

Since there's no more you and me
It's time I let you go
So I can be free
And live my life how it should be
No matter how hard it is I'll be fine without you
Yes I will

[Chorus: X2]
Thought I couldn't live without you
It's gonna hurt when it heals too
It'll all get better in time
And even though I really love you
I'm gonna smile cause I deserve to
It'll all get better in time

The following are great songs that I've heard on 101.9 recently or songs they reminded me of. I really like this station. I can't usually listen to just straight radio because of the unfunny djs and seemingly constant commercials. My radio pet peeve is where a dj will talk about and hype up what they are going to talk about shortly. Generally I listen to CDs about 95% while in my car.

Although 101.9 tends to fall in love with a song, they probably have the most diverse playlist of any radio station in Salt Lake. They are also picking from one of the most diverse times in music, roughly 1986 to the mid to late 90's. That was an era when generally there were relevant artists in nearly every genre of music. For instance, I hate most rap. However in the mid to late 80's there were two of the best rap groups ever. There was the Beastie Boys and Run-D.M.C. Also the best rap album ever came out during that time, Run-D.M.C.'s "Raising Hell".

In pop you have Paula Abdul, nobody can deny the greatness of "Straight Up" and Madonna. In rock there was Def Leppard, Motley Crue and several other amazing bands. I could go on and on, but I won't. The only thing about this radio station I don't like is how long will it last. I'm going to enjoy it while I can, as I have a feeling another fad radio station will be soon taking it's place. Oh one more thing, their mix of Boys 2 Men "Motownphilly" is terrible, it doesn't increase the amazing end of the song. This is what I'm talking about:

Anyway President of the United States' "Lump" came on this morning. It made me think of a couple of other songs. If "Lump" isn't the most obnoxious song of all-time, this is:

My apologies for the following being off a bit. "Lump" also reminds me of this amazing song:

That reminds me of this video, another absolute classic:
