Almighty Planets

Hello,

A rep of the band Almighty Planets sent me an e-mail this morning asking me to post this song. This is their cover of SBTRKT's "Wildfire". Neither a band or a song I had ever heard of before this morning. However I have to say Almighty Planets is one of the coolest band names I've heard in awhile. They were nice enough to send me a link for the song. I was able to check the song out and it's decent. If you like the song you can get it free through Almighty Planet's Facebook page.

I don't get these requests a lot, but when I do I try to help people out. Obviously I have to like the song for me to recommend it. I'd prefer to get the download link directly as I don't want to go to a bands or singers Facebook page to like a song before downloading it. But obviously that's not a big deal to do so. Also I'd prefer you don't ply me with compliments, it will not help your cause. I know that you are going to every other blog you can find to ask if they will post your video. I understand that because you are trying to get as much exposure for your band that you can. That's completely understandable.

My main criteria for posting something is if I really hate it or like it. Example of things I really like is Led Zeppelin or the next great rock band. I've been looking for the next great rock band for years and have yet to find them. An example of something that I hate or think is bogus is Carmelo Anthony's one dimensional game. While I don't think "Wildfire" is the greatest song ever I do enjoy it. Every time I hear it play I find myself tapping my foot.
