themusicaddict Says That Roxette Didn't Have Just One Hit (And I Got Proof!)

Hello,

Listening to Rewind 100.7 the other day, I heard a DJ say that Roxette only had one hit. That's crazy, the dee jay calling himself TK should be better educated about pop music. Later he also called The Fixx, Fixx. No they are The Fixx, not just Fixx, just like The Who isn't just Who.

Anyway thanks to Allmusic.com, here's some of Roxette's hits:

In 1989 "The Look" went to #1 on Billboard's Top 100:

Also in 1989 "Listen To Your Heart" went to #1 on Billboard's Top 100:

1989 continued being a great year for Roxette as "Dressed For Success" reached #14:

Roxette's last hit of 1989 was "Dangerous", it soared all the way to #2.

1990 was also a good year for Roxette, that was the year that they had possibly their biggest hit "It Must Have Been Love". It ended it's run at #1:

"Spending My Time" went to #32 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1991:

In 1991 Roxette had another big hit with one of the most joyous songs ever, "Joyride". This song also went to #1 on Billboards Hot 100.

Roxette had a nice mix of up tempo songs and ballad. Here's another one of the ballads, "Fading Like A Flower (Every Time You Leave)". This song went all the way to #2 in 1991.

So TK it looks like they had a lot more than just one hit, in fact to be exact they had 8 hits between 1989-1991. That was certainly their peak and they never had any other big hits. However they did have at least 3 other great songs.

"How Do You Do":

"Church of Your Heart":

"Sleeping In My Car":

In 2000 Roxette released this amazing ballad, but for some reason "Wish I Could Fly" didn't even make the Billboard Hot 100:
